The Printing Services department operates the District Mail Services department. Our mail clerk picks up and delivers all interoffice mail on the District Campus and collects and meters outgoing US Mail from both the District Campus and all other schools/buildings. Mail sent by schools/buildings to Printing Services to be metered is billed back to the school/department t the end of each month. Our machine will seal and weigh your envelopes and apply the correct amount of postage.

New USPS Shape-Based Pricing

  • In May of 2007, the Post Office drastically changed the way they 'measure' mail for required postage. The new 'Shape-Based Pricing' takes into account a mail piece's size, weight and thickness. Based on these variables, your mail piece will be classified as either a letter, flat or parcel. Printing Services has invested in a new module for our mail machine to accurately measure these three variables and accurately calculate and apply the correct amount of postage required.
