Fifth Grade Long Term Goals

  1. Review material from previous year.
  2. Demonstrate appropriate behavior as music learners and audience members.

Singing

  1. Perform 10-15 songs with solmization.
  2. Learn 10-15 songs by sight-reading.
  3. Learn 5 two-part and three-part songs.

Rhythm

  1. Recognize all rhythms appearing in the song repertoire.
  2. Recognize and perform the single eighth note as it is used in American folk songs.

  1. Review do-re-mi and sol-la-ti-do and add fa

Inner Hearing and Memory

  1. Continue memory work involving melodic and rhythmic phrases.
